Hi, I'm trying to create an airfoil of special shape to simulate in an external flow. I have attached a picture of the airfoil. Btw, its sides are hollow.
So the top region is divided into 3 sections and I'm going to give them different boundary condition so they have to be named differently. I can use cartesian2DMesh to create the mesh if the stl of the airfoil is a single region mesh. But I want to give different BC to different patches so I use a multi-patch stl, as mentioned here: https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/T...trization#Tips I use surfaceFeatureEdges and the fms shows lots of regions which are empty: 7 ( wing_top_rear empty mass_suc empty wing_top_mid empty ... Also, although the final mesh looks ok, it has lots of error as reported by checkMesh, such as negative cell volume, incorrectly orientation etc. I have attached the meshDict for reference. So how should i be done? Did I do something wrong somewhere? Thanks. |
