Dear forum members,
after installed OpenFOAM, is it necessary to follow the steps about Source Pack Installation, if no problem with Paraview? What is the main objective of Source Pack Installation steps? Regards Maimouna |

Hi Maimouna,
Have you read this page: http://www.openfoam.org/download/index.php The idea is that the Deb/RPM packs are for quickly having a working installation of OpenFOAM. The source packs are for people who are not using Ubuntu/openSUSE/Fedora and therefore will have to build from source code. Therefore, if you already have a working installation, then you do not need to build from source code. Best regards, Bruno
