Gary_cfd is on a distinguished road
Greetings,
I have OpenFOAM 2.1.0 installed on a CentOS 6.2 server.
The bash setup for my user environment is working fine, that is the environment vaiables get set, etc and I'm to run some of the the tutorials.

I have users though that want to run tcsh and that's where I'm having a problem. When I call the source ../cshrc file to configure the Openfoam environment the environment does not get set up. In addition the environment variables such as path get blanked out after calling cshrc. Path is not blank before cshrc is called and it is afterwards along with apparently no FOAM related environment variables being set.

Any thoughts or direction would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Gary

Greetings Gary and welcome to the forum!

It would be useful to know the instructions you've followed to install OpenFOAM 2.1.0 in your CentOS 6.2.
The reason is simple: to reproduce the issue your users are having, it would be useful to know which exact source code you're using!

I know there was an issue with Tcsh and similar, shown here: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=433 - but back then it only affected the pre-built binaries for Ubuntu.

Without knowing the installation procedure you've followed, I can suggest that you try the recent OpenFOAM 2.1.1, which has several fixes since 2.1.0 was released.

Best regards,
Bruno
