Wang@nitech is on a distinguished road
Now I am using OpenSUSE 13.1 and OpenFOAM 2.2.2 and 2.2.1.
But in these two versions, there is no bubblefoam, and twoPhaseEulerFoam is a little complicated to me for my limited knowledge about CFD. So I want to install a OpenOFAM 2.1.x to use bubbleFOAM to simulate my work first.
But when I installed the Openfoam, the command line said:

libmpi.so.0()(64bit)
libopen-pal.so.0()(64bit)
libopen-rte.so.0()(64bit)

these three files are needed.I have installed openmpi-1.7.2, I only find libmpi.so.1 in it.
How to solve this problem? How to install an old version of openmpi to finish this installtion? Should I use OpenSUSE 12.1?

Greetings Wang@nitech,

It would be really helpful if you had stated how exactly you installed or tried to install each version of OpenFOAM.

Either way, openSUSE 13.1 is very similar to 12.2 and 12.3, from the point of view of package requirements. My suggestion is to try using the following instructions for building the OpenFOAM versions from source code:
In addition, in order to have more than one installation of OpenFOAM on your machine, I advise you to study this page: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...with_the_Shell

Best regards,
Bruno

hi Bruno,
Thank you for your response, I have solved this problem. The way is to install an old version of OpenMPI which contains those files. Thank you for your help and the information you offered about to have more than one installation of OpenFOAM.
Best regards,
Wang
