Finally! At least ParaView is now built and installed with success!

Code:
cd $FOAM_UTILITIES/postProcessing/graphics/PV4Readers
wmSET $FOAM_SETTINGS

which paraview

./Allwclean
./Allwmake
"which paraview" should tell you the right place where it's installed.
And Allwmake should now work as intended!

Yes! Finally!! It seems like everything is finally working as intended!

If in post #13 I wasn't in such a hurry, I perhaps might have noticed that this:
Code:
rm -r platforms/linux64Gcc48/ParaView-4.1.0/
would fail to work properly if "ParaView-4.1.0" was a file and not a folder. The slash at the end explicitly looks for a folder named "ParaView-4.1.0" and not a file .
This is one of several reasons why OpenFOAM is so picky about every single detail, given that GNU/Linux is also very picky about these kinds of details
