Hi All,

I am trying to install openfoam on Win 7 using the installer provided. I followed all instructions but I am getting some error messages. A screen shot is attached. Please help me installing this software.

Note: I manually started boot2Docker.

There is issue with installation .. Any reason why it is being run as administrator. i.e your snapshot show it is being run as administrator.
Also i assume virtualization is enable in your system , if not please enable it and then reboot system twice and reinstall everything after un-installing all component plus other instruction as given in readme file

I used havdetectiontool, does it enable hardware visualization? If not, how can I do this?

Don't worry, I checked that hardware visualization is enabled. I will reinstall tomorrow and post the result.

First check whether it is enable or not
1) Hardware assisted virtualization should be enabled. If not already done, please enable it from the BIOS mode(see below), then reboot your system twice before proceeding with this Installation. In Windows7, check if hardware-assisted Virtualization is switched on by running the Windows utility https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...d=592#filelist
2. Search internet how to enable hardware virtualization in windows 7. Ideally, you need to go to go BIOS settings and enable virtualization .

Hi Alice. I'm trying as well, on a Sony Vario Windows 8.1 64 bit machine. Installation went well but I cannot get the program to run. Am trying to figure it out. I enabled virtualization. And have restarted many times.
