foam-extend-3.2 groovyBC example wont execute

Hello All
I have installed foam-extend-3.2 on openSuse Leap and suspect there is a problem with the installation however a review of the log does not show any components that have failed or flagged an error - the make log is attached.
The main reason causing me to think this is when I run the groovyBC example called fillingTheDam (i.e. by running blockMesh then interFoam) I receive an error related to the simpleFunctionObject as below.
