Hello everybody

I have spent the day trying to install metis-5.1.0 for domain decomposition, but have not had any luck. Has anyone been able to install this in OpenFOAM-4.1 or even OpenFOAM-5 (as I will be giving this a run on the next week or two)?

I am running OpenFOAM on Ubuntu 16.04.2 (64 bit) at the moment. I have installed OpenFOAM in the opt/ folder and this installation does not include a ThirdParty folder as is referred to in the instructions I have tried.

An example decomposePar file to call the metis decomposition algorithm would be useful also.

Any pointers / directions would be welcome.

Regards
JFM
