CFD Online Discussion Forums - [OpenFOAM.com] v1706: error building paraView 5.4

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install openFOAM-v1706 and paraView-v5.4.0 in Ubuntu 17.04.

I'm installing it from source following all the steps here:

I've modified the bashrc to install everthing in /opt/OpenFOam, sourced it and it was fine.

The problem happens when trying to build paraView:

cd $WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR 

./makeParaView

It gives me the following error:

Error (makeParaView) : not located in $WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR

    Check your OpenFOAM environment and installation

$WM_THIRD_PARTY _DIR points me to the correct directory, and I can see the file makeParaView inside. Using find makeParaView works as well.

What can be the problem? what can I check next?
