I just downloaded OpenFoam v1712 using the docker-based installation for Windows 10. I can run tutorials just fine and modify the program geometry and other details, but what I would really like to do is to be able to modify the source code to tailor it to my needs. Is this possible using the docker version or will I have to natively run it on Linux?

Hi,
Sure possible. Just do it! Copy the source you want to modify, edit the source code in your favorite windows editor (mine is Atom) and go back to the docker terminal and type: wmake If everything set properly you will have your new app. Docker container contains CentOS system with bcc compiler with witch OpenFOAM was compiled there. |
