Can't find openfoam directory, ubuntu in windows 10
Linux rookie here (a couple of simple pi builds). I'm following the openfoam user manual. Installed Ubuntu into Win10 from the MS app store. Solved connection issues by temporarily disabling AV/FW, then apt-get OF6 worked, downloaded a ton, then installed, then it looked like it installed successfully. I can't find the files or diectories.
I'm in the command line, ls doesnt show subfolders. So I mkdir a test folder and then ls does show the test folder but nothing else. I'm hoping my problem is obvious to someone more experienced. |
EDIT: Ok making progress...

Quick answer: Don't jump directly to section 2.1, please first read and go through the instructions given at the start of chapter 2: https://cfd.direct/openfoam/user-guide/v6-tutorials/
If the commands that rely on "$FOAM_RUN" do not work, then it's because the OpenFOAM shell environment was not activated, so make sure to first activate it by running: Code:
source /opt/openfoam6/etc/bashrc |
