Offline installation of OpenFOAM6 on windows 10

Dear FOAMers

Due to ip blocking I faced following error for online installing OpenFOAM6 on windows 10.
Code:

Err:1 http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...am/foam/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 openfoam6 amd64 20190108
  403  Forbidden [IP: 216.105.38.13 80]
Err:2 http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...am/foam/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 paraviewopenfoam56 amd64 0-20181220
  403  Forbidden [IP: 216.105.38.13 80]
E: Failed to fetch http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...0108_amd64.deb  403  Forbidden [IP: 216.105.38.13 80]
E: Failed to fetch http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...1220_amd64.deb  403  Forbidden [IP: 216.105.38.13 80]
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

So I decided to download the source file of OpenFOAM6, however, I have no idea how to compile it in windows because it is my first use of Ubuntu on windows 10.
any help and suggestion is really appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Mohsen

Dear Mohsen,

Well I would suggest contacting your service provider and ask to resolve the issue with sourcforge as I had the same problem a few months ago. Meanwhile, you may try to use a vpn connection and check if that will resolve the ip blockage.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with building OpenFOAM from source on windows platform.
I think only the nextRelease branch of foam-extend natively supports building from source on windows.

Quick answer @m5m5kh: You can find detailed installation steps for building from source code from here: https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...u#Ubuntu_18.04

Nonetheless, have you tried downloading the links that the error messages have given you? Namely the last two links are linking directly to the Deb files it's trying to download. Perhaps you are able to download them through your web browser?
