Hi, I'm a beginner of OpenFOAM and I got a problem with the installation of OpenFOAM-v1906
The operation system I uses is WINDOWS10
The problem is
I typed
gedit ~/.bashrc
and add
“source OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/etc/bashrc” into the last line as said in the tutorial.
Then I shut down Ubuntu and restart it. It shows that:
-bash:OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM=v1906/etc /bashrc:no such file or directory

SO I wonder how to deal with such thing. Thanks

Hi,

Have you cut and pasted in the lines below?

Code:
“source OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/etc/bashrc” into the last line as said in the tutorial.
<snip>
-bash:OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM=v1906/etc /bashrc:no such file or directory
It looks like on one line there is a "-" and on the later a "=" as well as a " " (space).

Could that be the problem?

sorry, I just typed it and made some mistake.
the code I added in .bashrc is :

source OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/etc/bashrc

the Ubuntu gave a response as

-bash: OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/etc/bashrc: No such file or directory

Do you know why such thing occur?

The path is wrong. It should be;

Code:
source $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/etc/bashrc
gcengineer and pbrady2013 like this.
