question of "OpenCFD-OpenFOAM-v1906-DP-mingw-crosscompiled-WindowsInstaller.exe"

Hello,

the OF-linux version works fine with me, the OF-win-version of
"OpenCFD-OpenFOAM-v1906-DP-mingw-crosscompiled-WindowsInstaller.exe"

in
win7: works also fine, but

in
win10:
after installation, e.g. a cmd "blockMesh -help" got the error-msg as:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"......../ESI-OpenCFD/OpenFOAM/v1906/msys64/home/ofuser/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1906/platforms/linux64MingwDPInt32Opt/bin/blockMesh.exe
error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-6.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

does someone know what, where is the problem?

thank you

When you run the installer you need to right click the installer and select "run as administrator". This allows MSMPI 10.0 to be installed at the same time.

hello, CalebO,

thank you for the reply. Probably you're right, because:

after adding the missing " libstdc++-6.dll", there was still outcoming msg. of missing other stuffs.

wish you a nice weekend

Could you please tell us if the above suggestion helped you? Might others need this in the future. Thanks.

PS: I don't give a f.ck Windows. I don't even know how to shut it down. Just saying for others :)

Any way to do this on a Windows machine without admin privileges? I don't think this will be the main audience of this specific package.

P.S. A follow-up on this discussion here on StackOverflow and here on MSYS2 Discord server..
