Installing OpenFoam 2.4.0 on Centos 8
 

Hi all,

Sorry for the tedious question, but am currently banging my head up a brick wall.

I need to install a version of OF 2.4.0 on a CentOS 8 machine.

I'm at the stage where I'm trying ./Allwmake in ThirdParty-2.4.0, and get the following errors:

"CMake Error at src/CMakeLists.txt:81 (add_subdirectory);
add_subdirectory given source ..."

I've tried installing an older version of cmake, but I think this is where the problem lies... I think it's due to cmake/qt versions...
OpenFOAM 2.4.0 requires cmake-2.8.8 or higher (but less than 3.x.x.) and Qt-4.7.2 or higher. CentOS 8 comes with Qt5 only, and versions of cmake lower than 3.something only work with Qt4.

any suggestions?
