hello

i'm looking for a light distribution of linux for virtual box.
Do you know if the installation of Openfoam on Lubuntu is possible ??
Are there any problems ?

Maybe you know other light distribution ? (compatible with OF)

Thanks a lot

regards
mat

Hi!

If you have a debian/ubuntu based distro you should have no problem. But vitrualBox is not the best idea since it'll have a huge overhead. On win10 you can install linux bash and you will have nearly zero overhead. It is also comes with ubuntu so you can install OF from the repo without any compilation (really easy to setup).
But for virtual box a simple ubuntu without graphical interface. I think it will be really lightweight and stable

Lubuntu is ubuntu based. Probably you can install from the repo too. But yes it is totally possible.

But really I would go with linux bash on windows. It is nearly the best solution for that.
