paraFoam is not opened as .paraFaom
 

Hello, i installed BlueCFD for windows 10. It works well but when i type paraFoam, it directly opens in builtin format with extension .foam. I want to open paraFoam as openfoam reader mode to check zones. How can i open with .paraFaom ? Is there anyone can help ?

Never used BlueCFD but there is file called paraFoam.bat which you can use. Make sure you add paraview in Environment variable.

Not worked, it opens as in builtin mode again.

If you want to check zones with the builtin reader, you need paraview-5.10 (can use a binary download). The zone selection and field mapping onto zones is near the bottom [Read zones] checkbox and [Copy data to cell zones] checkbox.


After that you can see the zones listed in the "Information" tab. Use the "Extract Block" filter to select which ones you would like to display.


As mentioned in another post, I would like to have all of this restructured as a tree selector for various reasons.

Thanks for your answer. I built paraview 5.10 as you suggest. But now i need cell type for overset but i cant see. Do you know what might be reason for this?

Sorry, cannot remember offhand, would need a bit of a dig and don't have time at the moment.
