Hi,

I'm trying to install foam extend 4.1 nextRelease branch. However, I've similar problem with the org 4.1 too.

Some third party codes can't be installed. These include:

metis
scotch
parmetis
Mesquite

So I downloaded the third party codes and install myself. Installation was successful. However, when I run Allwmake.firstInstall, it complains that the include file is not found:

Code:
-extend-4.1_NR_updated/src/foam/lnInclude -I/home/users/nus/tsltaywb/woodstock/foam/foam-extend-4.1_NR_updated/src/OSspecific/POSIX/lnInclude -fPIC -fuse-ld=bfd -c $SOURCE -o Make/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/metisDecomp.o
metisDecomp.C:34:22: fatal error: metis.h: No such file or directory
 #   include "metis.h"
It's the same for parmetis, scotch. For Mesquite, it complains:

Code:
/home/users/nus/tsltaywb/woodstock/lib/mesquite-2.3.0//lib/libmesquite.a: error adding symbols: Bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
However, I have already specified them in prefs.sh, such as:

Code:
# System installed Metis
export METIS_SYSTEM=1
export METIS_DIR=/home/users/nus/tsltaywb/woodstock/lib/metis-5.1.0
export METIS_BIN_DIR=$METIS_DIR/bin
export METIS_LIB_DIR=$METIS_DIR/lib
export METIS_INCLUDE_DIR=$METIS_DIR/include
May I know what's wrong? Btw, I'm using gcc 4.9.3 + openmpi 1.10.2.

Hi, Thank you very much for the tutorial! btw, if i uncheck the virtual machine platform feature on 'turn windows features on or off' can I still operate openfoam & paraview normally? thanks in anticipation.
