[OpenFOAM.com] How to install dsmcfoam+ having OpenFoam 8 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Hello!

I am struggling trying to install dsmcfoam+. I have succeeded in installing OpenFoam 8 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Then, I found this website which explains how to install dsmcfoam+ with OpenFoam 240:

Is there any way in which dsmcfoam+ can work with OpenFoam 8? I couldn't find anything online

I have just been working through the same issue! I would recommend following the instructions from https://hystrath.github.io/installation/

It's not foolproof, but if you first install openfoam-v1706 (which is the most recent version dsmcFoam+ is compatible with) and follow the instructions on that site, you should be able to get things running. Installing openfoam-v1706 is a bit more manual than other versions, so I would recommend reading through the installing instructions here as a guide.

Let me know if you run into more problems! I will help however I can, I know it can be a frustrating installation process.
