[OpenFOAM.org] Paraview Black Screen

Hello

I have a problem with paraview 5.10.1.
After the process of installation some parts of the screen is black.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Hello dear community,

I am also experiencing the exact same problem after installing OpenFOAM for the first time in my life.

I'm using Windows 10 -> Oracle VM VirtualBox -> Ubuntu22.10

After installing OpenFoam v10 and the included ParaView 5.10.1 (openfoam.org) I ran the pitzDaily tutorial which worked out until the point I executed paraFoam in the terminal.

The output then is:

Code:

Created temporary 'pitzDaily.OpenFOAM'

Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.

Mesa warning: Window 8388617 has no colormap!

Mesa warning: Window 8388620 has no colormap!

I/O    : uncollated

Mesa warning: Window 8388630 has no colormap!

Combined with the partially black screen inside the paraview window.

Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

I used another version of Ubuntu and the problem got solved.
Ubuntu-20.04.5-desktop-amd64
OpenFOAM V10 & Paraview 5.10.1

Thanks for the advice! Worked for me with Ubuntu 22.04.1 as well.

Hello

I'm experiencing the same problem here. The only thing is that I'm currently running on an Ubuntu 23.04 machine and this is my native OS. Can someone please help me with the issue?
