Hi Foamers,

I just installed OpenFOAM on a 64 bits, biprocessor machine, and as I'm trying to test paraFoam on a tutorial (cavity), I get this error on clicking on "Apply" :

********~/OpenFOAM/blo-1.5/run/tutorials$ paraFoam -case icoFoam/cavity

********Cannot find file "points" in directory "constant/polyMesh"
*******From function Time::findInstance(const word& dir, const word& name)
******* in file db/Time/findInstance.C at line 133.

*******FOAM exiting

If any one could help me, I didn't find anything good on google.

Thanks a lot

Thanks for the answer.

Well, I have to say that no, I did not. I tried this :

~/OpenFOAM/blo-1.5/run/tutorials$ blockmesh icoFoam/cavity
bash: blockmesh : unknown command

I'm a new user. Allthough I have read the doc, I'm a bit lost...

Read the user guide properly. The command is called blockMesh NOT blockmesh. Plus I don't think you are using it properly. Read the user guide again[1]
