I removed 1.1 installation by changing the name of 1.1 installation folder.
I installed 1.2 as in README.
foamInstallationTest gives OK OK but with two strange lines:

User_config: /home/marwan/.bashrc
Foam_config: /home/marwan/.OpenFOAM-1.1/bashrc sourced correctly.

$FOAMX_PATH ...ations/utilities/preProcessing/FoamX yes no yes

This means that it still sees the old 1.1

the main problem:
runFoamX is not available, only runFoamXHB and it hangs?

can you help?

Maka

Thanks. It works.

Any idea why I get .OpenFOAM-1.1 instead 1.2 in the following foamInstallationTest:
Foam_config: /home/marwan/.OpenFOAM-1.1/bashrc sourced correctly.

Detailed procedur:

I installed both 1.1 and 1.2 together and thought that posting the following procedure may be of help to people that wants to keep two versions of OpenFOAM and switch easiely between them,

(1) {platform} folder: you can put here any third party bindary that is needed for any version, since source set the right path;
(2) {user}-{version} and OpenFOAM-{version} folders: are distinguised by their version, so once can include all versions he likes;
(3) change $HOME/.bashrc to point to the required version;
(4) source $HOME/.bashrc;
