I installed OpenFOAM package on a remote machine. I log in that machine by telnet on my own PC. I run my case with commandline:
interFoam . damBreak>log &. Then the case run in background. But when I log out that remote machine, I found the running case will be stopped. Why and how can my case continue to run when my PC shutdown? |

Have a look at 'nohup' and also redirecting the input ( < /dev/null). This is all standard Unix stuff so should be in any good book.
