Hi to all!
I'm actually using kubuntu 8.10 amd64 on my machine and, since next month I'll upgrade the system to 9.04, I'm testing the new version under virtualbox to be sure that OpenFOAM continues working after the upgrade. So I've installed OpenFOAM (version 1.5, not 1.5 dev) under the virtualized system, I've checked it with foamInstallationTest and then I've tried to use paraFoam with the cavity test case to see the grid generated with blockMesh. The problem is that when I execute paraFoam, it start without problems but selecting regionStatus, update and applying, the mesh is not visualized as you can see from the attached figure. Is it a virtualbox issue or should I recompile something? Thank you, Xwang |

I've discovered that if I convert the case with foamToVTK and I looad the VTK file, the geometry is correctly visualized.
So it does not seem a Virtualbox issue. Do you agree? Xwang |
