OpenFOAM on Xandros
 

Hello everyone,

As per the title - has anyone successfully installed OpenFOAM on Xandros? I've got the files unzipped, but when setting up the environment I encounter errors.

Perhaps Xandros isn't suitable for the installation, if so I will install ubuntu, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone else has encountered similar issues.

PS. Perhaps I missed some relevant information - OpenFOAM 1.6 on Xandros on an Asus eee 900a (Yes I know it's going to run slowly when I get it running!). The download and unzipping are successful and the check reports them as ok.

I get errors when trying to set up the environment. I try to add a line to the bashrc file as described in the README document, then when I perform the next command and try to read it I get a permissions error. Has anybody experienced the same thing?
