Hi Maysam,

But that package does exist:libreadline5-dev at packages.ubuntu

Try this:
Code:

sudo apt-get update
Then try again installing the package.

If it still doesn't work, possibly you disabled the repository that has that package. Go to Synaptic and re-activate the repository (I think it is the "main lucid" repository). And while you're in Synaptic, you can install the package from there!

Best regards,
Bruno

Hi

I followed the wiki tutorial which you have posted in one of your posts and followed it exactly.

I am trying to compile a new solver chtIcoMultiRegionFoam

And no matter what I do I end up getting the following wmake:command not found error

Can you please help me

Thanks
Shyam

UPDATE: I successfully compiled the solver in Fedora 13 with OpenFoam 1.7.1. Have not tested it yet. But i m still having problems with ubuntu. Going to use fedora for now.

Hi Shyam,

Mmm, how exactly did you install OpenFOAM in Ubuntu? Did you build from source or did you install from the Debian packages?

Because the error "wmake:command not found error" is usually related to not having the OpenFOAM environment variables properly set up, namely running:
Code:

. ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.7.1/etc/bashrc
Best regards,
Bruno
