Hi,
I'm trying to install OF on Ubuntu 10.04 lucid according to the instructions at www.openfoam.com. Unfortunately I can't seem to complete steps 4 and 5 successfully, i.e. "apt-get install openfoam170" and "apt-get install paraviewopenfoam380" respectively. The Terminal's response is: "E: Couldn't find package openfoam170". It would be awesome if you could help me figure out how to get the program installed alright. /hpon |

Greetings hpon and welcome to the forum!
That's odd, it should have worked without a flaw! OK, lets try to isolate the problem:

Thank you Bruno! I'm very exited about exploring the possibilities of CFD, and OpenFOAM in particular.
Thanks to you, I discovered a typ-o ("..lucid mail" instead of "..lucid main"). The installation is now finished! /hpon |
