How to get a cylinder patch that comprises inner cells?

Hi,

I want to create a cylindrical patch. My problem is I defined the outer faces of the cylinder for the patch and I want to have the inner blocks and cells to be comprised in this patch.

When I load the patch in paraFoam it only shows the skin faces of the cylinder. But I want to have the inner cells as well to be part of the patch.

I hope I have not to add all the inner faces in order to get full cylinder as patch. Because they are hundreds

I am absolute beginner can anybody tell me how I can include the inner blocks of the cylinder in the patch?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Hi again,

my question is how to define a patch which comprises several blocks.
Do I have to write all the faces which connect the several blocks or can I just write the outer faces which surround the patch?

My BlockMeshDict-file is to big why I can't just do trial and error.

I am absolute beginner and an advice is realy needed. Because in the OF tutorials there is nothing mentioned about multiple blocks and patches.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Found the answer: you just have to write the surrounding faces of the patch.
