Hi,

Which solver can I use to make solidBodyMotion?

Is there an example case for solidBodyMotion?

Hi Immortality,

Unfortunately I can't send you my case because it is part of a not yet published work.

But have I used AMI including oscillatingRotatingMotion and rotatingMotion and multiBodyMotion as functions.

I think a good start is the mixerVessel2d AMI case( incompressible pimpleDyMFoam solver) as start if you want to use this kind of mesh motion strategy.

Best,
Alex

ok.only send me the parts involve motion of mesh parts.
Whats difference between AMI,GGI,MRF i have encountered in searching but didn't grasp their usage and difference.could you give me sodme explaination about them?
I want to model a moving mesh sliding between two stationary meshes in a 2d and simle transformation with constant velocity(no interaction between solid and fluid that influences moving mesh motion) manner
Thank you for your consideration and help.

Hi,

AMI (Arbitrary Mesh Interface) is the successor of GGI and its a mesh moving technique.

To tell you which files you need I have to look at my case. I will do it this weekend and post the informations on Monday to you.

Meanwhile just try to understand a little bit the mixerVessel2D tutorial.

Best,
Alex

Thank you very much.
but mixerVessel2D is in rotating motion.my case is 2D that some number of channels are moving from bottom to top with constant velocity and the channels are imposed to 4 stationary ports at their sides that fluid with specified T0 and p0 are flowing in or out of channels.

thank you very much.
these figures show whwt i want to model.do you think how can i do this?
between rotor channels at the middle and stators at besides of it there should be two sliding meshes at each of sides of rotor.
thank you again.
