Good Morning,

I want to start a discussion about the possibility of building a graphic interface for blockMesh

I'm a BlockMesh user and i'm a starting to think of programming a graphic interface for BlockMesh, because i think some passages to build a mesh are very boring and need large mental efforts. Mainly i'm refferring to generation of blocks and definition of faces by considering the vertices in a clockwise sense. I think these operations are very difficult for mesh characterized by a large number of blocks, because it needs to remember exactly the order of the vertices.

So why do not simplify these operations with a simple graphic interface?

I would be very happy to know your opinion about this argument! Thanks

Sorry for my terrible english! Thanks

Hi Roberto,

If you use blender you might want to try SwiftBlock.

Best Regards,
Paulo

Hi Paulo, thanks for your reply.

I didn't know SwiftBlock and SwiftSnap till now, and looking at the images they are similar to that i have in mind. In the next days i surely will test both the programs. It seems someone else had worked to the same idea before me

Best Regards,
Roberto
