hello,
I am trying to convert the mesh generated through gmesh to Foam. But I am getting the following error: --> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: No cells read from file "cyl.msh" Does your file specify any 3D elements (hex=5, prism=6, pyramid=7, tet=4)? Perhaps you have not exported the 3D elements? file: cyl.msh at line 30956. From function readCells(..) in file gmshToFoam.C at line 721. FOAM exiting |

The error seems to be pretty clear, what kind of mesh are you trying to convert? Did you define the physicals properly in your .geo?

I have the same problem. I managed to create physical surfaces and the physical volume and they even show up in gmsh. But how can you make your internal 3D cells physical? Additional question: How can I display my internal mesh in gmsh? Best regards, Kate p.s.: I think gmsh is an app which can produce beautiful products but it is very hard to understand how you actually do thing. |
