Hello,
I am using Gmsh and am trying to mesh a simple 3D box shaped volume with hex elements. I need to have local mesh refinement in a certain region of the volume. I am able to do a tet mesh with refinement (using attractor fields) and a hex mesh without refinement. But the hex mesh with mesh refinement causes me headache. Is it possible to do this using the mesh field approach? Are there other possibilites? F.e. I was thinking I might be able to do merge two meshes, a small highly resolved box within a large box with coarser elements. But (a) I am not even sure if this would make sense, and (b) I am not sure how to do it. Does anybody have thoughts about this? Many thanks in advance Last edited by LV426; September 25, 2017 at 11:39. Reason: forgot to mention that I'm using gmsh |
