caw is on a distinguished road
Dear Erik,

there is a good tool in OpenFoam 1.5: snappyHexMesh
if you can export your geometry to stl (triangulated surface) the you may use it even for highly complex geometry.

Works also in parallel...

elvis will become famous soon enough well in german and 4 catia rial:_3D_CFD_analysis_of_a_Y-shaped_pipe_.28CAELinux_2007.29 this might be right tutorials 4 u salome can mesh free of charge as UNVersal-file (a la IDEAS) and converted via IdeasUnvToFoam
