.msh

hi to everyone!

Now gmsh2ToFoam works fine.. however i have a new question now..
after that i convert the .msh into foam.. how i can see and define the boundary condition on the body?
With OF 1.4 seems easy because icofoam works, and from there i can modify it.., but i'm using OF 1.5.. so what i have to do?
thx :eek::(

Hi s&m,

By icofoam you meant FoamX? Anyway you have to set BCs by hand.

I have been asked for improvements around that part, and have some ideas but don't have time to implement...

yes i meant it, and also paraFoam.. if i have to set BCs by hand, i will learn it.. :)
but how do i know which surface to choose? where Can i define it?

You should have a file constant/polyMesh/boundary which lists all of the boundary fields that were defined in the original mesh (I am not familiar with gmsh but I assume this is the case). They may have retained the names you gave them originally in gmsh, or not. You can rename them here. Also check that the boundaries that are walls are set as 'wall' and thet inlets/outlets are set as 'patches' etc. Then in your 0 directory you will have a file for each field (U, p, etc.) and need to set the boundary conditions for each of the boundaries in your boundary file for each of these field files. Take a look at the directory in one of the tutorials for whatever solver you are using to see what it should look like.
I see you are using icoFoam, have a look at the files in one of the tutorials there.
Hope this is useful.

ok i think that the first problem is solved..

but now a new question,, i create this mesh with all Boundary condition.. why this don't work??
it's a simple cilinder with a turbolent flow inside him.. could you control it please?
