Gmsh body of revolution.

Hello. There's a question more about gmsh. I want to get the geometry of the body of revolution. For example i have a circle and i want to get a sphere rotating that circle. How do i do this? Maybe i'd better use some other programm? I'm slightly new to cfd so i appreciate any help. Thank you.

Sherpa,

Try using the Extrude command in gmsh -- see section 5.1.5 of the online documentation for gmsh 2.5.

Mike,

thank you for your reply. I tried it of course, but unfortunately rotating on 2Pi gives me the same line, not the body of revolution, as i want.

Sherpa,

Try extruding Pi/2 at a time rather than the full 2*Pi in one extrusion....so you'll use four extrusion commands to extrude the full 2*Pi.
