hi dear formers,
i am working on multi element airfoil, i use SHM for meshing and i am going to use openFoam for it's analysis.
as you in the picture the corner of the main element, does not mesh really nice, is anyone to say me why the corner doesn't remain straight after running snapEdge?
i put my snappyHexMeshDict, blockMeshDict and my snapEdgeDict in the next post, would you please look at them and tell me what changes should i do in the parameters to have a better mesh,
Thank you very much

JR22 will become famous soon enough
Doesn't snappyHexMesh do this now on its own? in two different ways:
  1. Explicit feature edge refinement: Using the surfaceFeatureExtract and then setting the eMesh files generated on the snappyHexMeshDict directly.
  2. Implicit feature edge refinement: New for snappyHexMesh that comes with OF-2.2. No need to run separate utilities, turn on just with the implicitFeatureSnap flag within your snappyHexMeshDict.
s.m and hrvig like this.
