[Commercial meshers] STAR CCM+ mesh to Foam in OpenFoam 2.4

Hello all,

I am a new user of OpenFoam. I am practicing with OpenFOAM V 2.4 . When am trying to convert a STAR CCM Mesh to FOAM Mesh using the following command:

# $ ccm26ToFoam mesh_name.ccm

i am getting the following error saying command not found.

is this command not supported on Foam 2.4 ?

Replies/suggestions appreciated

As far I know ccm26ToFoam depends on ibccmio which is properitary and it's not build by default. You should compile ibccmio and ccm26ToFoam.

hello all,

I have one question, is there any way to mapFields from star-ccm to OpenFOAM, something like fluentDataToFoam? (i.e., converting the star-ccm data to OpenFOAM readable data first)

I have some simulation results in star-ccm, which I want to use as my initial condition in OpenFOAM. It would really save me a lot of time, if I avoid re-simulating those cases again in OpenFOAM.

Any help is really appreciated.
