Hello guys,

I am new user in OpenFoam. I need to import the Gambit file or Fluent mesh to OpenFoam. I used the fluentMeshToFoam & gambitToFoam command , but I got this error. Can anybody help me?
To be clear, I save the .msh & neu file in ASCI format. but I have some interior boundary ( not interior wall...I used it for making the Mesh). Is it problem? does OF know the interior boundary....I dont want OF to convert it to wall boundary.

Hello Friends

I m new user of openfoam so i solved tutorial of OF. now i m trying to solve complicated problem. so the geometry is very difficult to construct in OF. so far i use gambit for making geometry.
Right now i construct geometry in gambit & also I completed mesh in Gambit so now for processing & post processing i use OF. but i m in trouble how to convert .msh file of gambit in OF format?

Which command will i use? gabitToFoam or FluentMeshToFoam?
so please help me to solve this problem.
i m waiting 4 ur reply

elvis will become famous soon enough
What about fluent3DMeshToFoam ?
I have no personal experience (sorry), but maybe fluent3DMeshToFoam is the better solution to convert your .msh to Openfoam.

If I am not wrong fluent3DMeshToFoam is the latest devoloped converter

if you don't generate a mesh with hanging nodes (tetra-hexcore), then you can use fluentMeshToFoam
if you generate a mesh with hanging nodes (tetra-hexcore), you need to convert some cells with utility tpoly (not OF utilty, but Fluent utility), then you can use fluent3DMeshToFoam
