hi everyone,
i am trying to import a nozzle made in proe through iges in gambit.
i am trying to surround it by a box and mesh inside and outside the nozzle.but when mesh after subtracting the nozzle vol. from box vol. i dont get proper meshing.
can anyone please tell me the steps?

Hi,

maybe you want to try an alternative method

Export your nozzle as STL, create an sufficient blockmesh and finally let snappyhexmesh do the meshing for you.

Of course it would be wise, to have an inlet- and outlet- STL.

take a look at motorbike example for snappyhex mesh.
maybe discretizer http://www.discretizer.org/ can help you making the meshing easier.

hey,
thank you very much for your reply.but i am very new to gambit and i am still not able to
mesh inside and outside of nozzle.
the nozzle has thickness and i dont want to mesh that part.thankyou..
and also i downloaded discretizer but i dont know how to intall it.no such option are there
after unistalling the whole file.
plz help
