I tried sHM my external flow model.
What I got is this error

What should I do nest to get my sHM working? Help!

You're not providing much information to work with... from the error message, I can only assume that it's having trouble with meshing around a highly detailed part of the geometry, which leads to problems. Or the geometry is has some flaws that are hard to work with.

And you're using OpenFOAM 1.6.x :confused:? Is there any chance you can upgrade to OpenFOAM 2.2? Because snappyHexMesh is a lot better in OpenFOAM 2.2...
