Hi!

I would like to know if it is possible to transform an imported STL/OBJ geometry within sHM with respect to position and angle?

Best regards Pål

Dear På,

since sHM is only a meshing tool this is not possible.

However if you do the transformation in advance of the meshing process
it can easily be done via the command line.

The command you are looking for is called:

surfaceTransformPoints

For the correct usage type

surfaceTransformPoints -help

Also the user guide in section 3 - utilities gives you further hints.
I know for sure that you can manipulate stl files but as far as I remember
it is also capable of treating .obj files.
This command can be used with the correct options for translating, scaling
rotating and many other surface transformations.

I hope I could contribute
regards
