Hello everybody,

I'm currently using the decompose method scotch for my cases which works really great so far. The problem I came across now is, that another algorithm I use does not work if the area it is acting in is decomposed. One solution would of course be to use simple decomposition but I reckon performance will go down quite a lot if I do so ( have not tested yet).
I use OpenFOAM 2.1.x and it uses scotch 5.1.11 . I tried to find an option in the manual for scotch that would allow the definition of a certain area that has to be kept in one processor domain but was not successful so far.
Does anyone have a solution for that, honestly the scotch manual is quite confusing for me. Actually I do not even need to make sure that a whole volume but rather just a straight line of defined length, start and end point is kept in one domain.
Thanks
Henrik
