Surface geometry with snappyHexMesh
 

Hello,

I'm writing with a question - is it possible to use as an obstacle a surface - i mean STL geometry bul only surface, not solid and create a mesh using snappyHexMesh?

Does anybody have an experience like this and can tell me how to do that?

You should look into the usage of "baffles".
