multi region mesh using snappyHexMesh

Hi,

I want to simulate a flow through a pipe where two regions of porous
medium are by using porousSimpleFoam solver.

I have only stl data of solid regions (wall of pipe and porous medium) and
don't fluid regions.

Is it possible to generate multi region mesh (like snappyMultiRegionHeater
tutorial) using snappyHexMesh utility without stl files of fluid regions and
the region between wall of pipe and blockMesh boundaryies?

If so, could you tell me the way to do it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
