Hello,

I am totally beginner on snappyHexMesh, and my problem is pretty simple : how can I visualize the castellated mesh.

I did :

Thanks for your help!

Hi Hikachu!

There are many ways to visualize the mesh in paraview. You can select how to display the geometry (surface, outline, wireframe, ...) in a dropdown menu. I think the best way to start is reading the user guide for paraview on http://www.paraview.org/paraview/hel...mentation.html

There you can learn how to do slices, cutouts and so on to visualize everything.
Good luck!

Tobias

Btw, if you're interested in looking at the castellated i.e. block-like structure of your mesh, a good filter in Paraview is "Extract Cells By Region" e.g. attachment below.

Steps:
  1. Load in your foam case (uncheck the "Decompose Polyhedra" if the option is available)
  2. Apply the Extract Cells By Region filter, checking the boxes for "Extract only intersected" and "Extract intersected".
I'm using Paraview 3.10.1, with the native openfoam reader, but the steps should be similar, regardless. The case used in the attachment is the flange tutorial.
