Hello Every1!!!
i've been trying to mesh a 3d wing profile and i keep getting a particular region of my mesh boundary extruded if i add layers Code:

The answer is very late, but take a look at the feature Edge function!
tutorial in OpenFoam 2.1.x $FOAM_TUTORIALS/mesh/snappyHexMesh/flange or so however, take a look at the "flange" tutorial greets |

Thx for the reply. I did explored that function a lot and many others. the only thing i havent tried is the explicit feature edge refinement. i've check the flange tut too, but i didnt c anything special there i havent tried yet, do u have sth more specific? up untill now i havent returned to this mesh problem but i believe this is a particular error generated by snappy with the particular 2D mesh for the wing geometry i have. I guess ill have to work on finer 2D meshes on this region along with the option "when not to extrude surface. anyway in case u got something more specific pls let me know so far thx a lot for you help |

Ok!
maybe it helps if you set the refinement of your refinementBox a little higher. e.g to 4 greets |
