I'm relatively new to OpenFOAM, and am looking for a way to map cell faces to other cell faces. I've created my own mesh and have written the OpenFOAM files for it. It is a C mesh that wraps around an airfoil, and I need to map the two trailing regions of the mesh to each other. I know there must be a way to do it, but haven't been able to find anything in the documentation. Any direction would be helpful.

Thanks.

You can find a cell model decomposition used in OpenFOAM in

OpenFOAM-1.3/.OpenFOAM-1.3/cellModels.

Should be self-descriptive.

I've found a mesh manipulation function called stitchMesh. Does anyone have an example file of how I would use it?

Hi Doug!

Another way to find cellModels is

$WM_PROJECT_DIR/.OpenFOAM-1.3/cellModels

Hi Doug,
I think stichMesh is the tool you need. There is a very short HowTo on the wiki, that might suit you.
Have a look: stitchMesh HowTo
