Hi all,
I created a mesh with icemcfd and imported it to OF with fluent3DmeshToFoam. I now want to check grid-independency. However icem cannot process the grids I want to produce anymore. Right now Iam at 12.6 Mio cells... Iam wondering whether I could use the refineMesh utility for a grid that I imported?! Any experiences???? Also I looked at how to create the refineMeshdict and i could not find a place, where to define by which size I would like my mesh to be refined. For example does it automatically make 8 cells out of one cell (2 in each direction- x,y,z) if I want it to be refined in the same way in all directions? Any answers would be appreciated! Thanks a lot! |

I think I read somewhere that the refinement level is controlled by changing the globalCoeff in the refineMeshDict. From say tan1 (0 0 1) to tan1 (0 0 2). I haven't tried this yet though.
