Default Defining new faces after fluenttofoam conversion

hello all,

I created a mesh in icemcfd then exported to fluent. All the boundary faces(inlet, outlet, etc) were defined in the mesh but when running fluentmeshtofoam only 'defaultFaces' was created in patch.
Now, I need to define the remaining boundary faces in openfoam. I need some help in this regard.

Thanks
Mayank.

In the utilities section of the documentation utilities, there are several tools you can try: autoPatch and patchTool. The second is a visual tool that allows you to pick your faces and define them as boundaries.

Hello,

I tried autoPatch and it generated the patches fine which I checked in patchTool.
But Saving the mesh in patchTool hangs and in FoamX case manager defaultFaces is the only patch. So I cannot define the boundary conditions on the generated patches.
I tried to run paraview which shows the following error:

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR : keyword auto0 is undefined in dictionary "././0/nuTilda::boundaryField"

file: ././0/nuTilda::boundaryField from line 36 to line 37.

From function dictionary::lookupEntry(const word& keyword) const
in file db/dictionary/dictionary.C at line 146.

FOAM exiting

Hi Mayank,
If you have used autoPatch, why do you need patchTool?
Just edit the generated case/constant/polyMesh/boundary file with any text editor, and specify there what do you want to have for each patch.
