How to create a 3D mesh%7e%7e%7e

As the title, does any one can tell me? Or, anyone can tell me which case is a 3D case.

OpenFOAM works only with 3D cases. Even those that are supposed to be 2D contain one layer of cells!

i read the stressd foam utitility in user guide and i dont khnow how they cooradinate the mesh vercites.
